Professional History

Ms. Smith has over 18 years of experience in Hospitality project management.  Ms. Smith has completed and assisted with 150 + projects in excess of $450 million in value which includes guestroom renovations, public space renovations, mechanical conversions and exterior projects. Ms. Smith’s successful projects include the Atlanta Airport Marriott, Austin Sheraton Hotel, and the Grand Hyatt Atlanta.  Past and present clients include Barceló Crestline, Services Properties Trust (formerly Hospitality Properties Trust), Host Hotels & Resorts, Highland Hospitality, Fulcrum Hospitality, HEI Hospitality, Northwood, Sonesta and Singerman Real Estate.  Ms. Smith majored in business administration at Oglethorpe University, and completed Project Management coursework through the University of Georgia. PM Unlimited was founded by Ms. Smith in December of 2014, which has completed over 70 renovation projects in excess of $200 million.

Ms. Smith started her career in the banking business with ten years of tenure with Wells Fargo (formerly Wachovia Bank). While with Wells, Ms. Smith participated in multiple disciplines including, but not limited to, internal auditing, lending and investment services.  Her experience with banking is reflected in her attention for detail and a penchant for accounting; important qualities in development and project management. Ms. Smith attended multiple AIB classes and gained certifications in multiple areas during her time with Wells Fargo.

In 1997, Ms. Smith joined a nationwide real estate sales firm where she provided substantial service in real estate due diligence through involvement in property inspections, title clearings, closing documentation and coordination with real estate attorneys. In 2000, Ms. Smith joined the Southeast’s largest full‐service real estate firm in their commercial brokerage division and gained her Georgia Real Estate Sales Associate License.  Working with multiple brokers, she applied her skills to some of the most visible and renowned deals in the Atlanta landscape and lent her expertise to real estate development proposals.

In 2003, Ms. Smith began her project management career with Pace Management as an assistant project manager under the direction of a principal within the partnership. In 2004, Ms. Smith was promoted to project manager and a year later to senior project manager, the highest position available in the company. Ms. Smith’s greatest achievement while at Pace was efficient program management to help identify successful processes managing multiple projects within Ownership portfolios.

After ten years with Pace Management, Ms. Smith accepted a senior management position with Project Development Services, Inc. in 2013, where she managed a team of project managers involved in multiple projects simultaneously.

Ms. Smith is based out of Atlanta with her husband and two children. She is a native “Georgian” and a true die‐hard fan of the Bulldogs, Braves & Falcons.
